Cryptio joins Accounting Blockchain Coalition

We are proud to announce that we have joined The Accounting Blockchain Coalition (ABC).

The ABC is a non-profit, industry association that serves as a forum to develop and share information on accounting matters relevant to digital assets and distributed ledger technology, including blockchain. As part of this prestigious ecosystem, Cryptio aims to leverage the insights we gain from clients feedback to shape the discussions around digital asset accounting, auditing and taxation.

What to expect from this coalition?

There is a lot going on in the crypto ecosystem, as the community strives towards widespread adoption. From payments, stablecoins and lending to gaming, DAOs and collectibles, we are seeing a wide range of new startups for cryptocurrencies.
However, all this disruptive change at such fast pace creates new challenges. Regulatory bodies need to adapt to changing times to provide clearer taxation policies, new accounting standards, better KYC (know your customer) policies, improved Anti-Money Laundering practices (AML) etc.  Moreover, traditional financial, accounting, and tax reporting tools also need to adapt to the new demands and changing regulations.
The coalition aims to bridge this gap by facilitating the exchange of ideas between accountants, legal and tax firms, technology companies and institutions of higher learning. As a cumulative voice of top credible professionals and thought leaders in this space, the coalition can help shape public policy and international regulatory standards.

How can YOU contribute too?

As mentioned above, we want to gather insights from people working in the crypto space. This will help us understand the needs, complaints and expectations of crypto businesses with regards to accounting & tax reporting. To that end, Cryptio and ConsenSys are conducting a survey to better understand the pain points and requirements of the crypto and blockchain community. By taking away the headache of compliance and accounting, we want to empower the ecosystem to focus on innovation and adoption.

If you have 5 minutes to contribute your views and help the community, we urge you to fill the survey here

We would share the major insights and results from this survey soon, so follow our blog or our twitter!
